Doomscrolling- The bane of the Internet age Doomscrolling is fuelled by the human brain’s natural inclination towards negativity bias, where we are likely to focus more on and remember the negative experience over the positive ones. This is the reason why despite the emotional toll, many find themselves unable to break the cycle, endlessly scrolling through a stream of bad news.
